Dr Deepak N. Bhatia is a shoulder and upper limb surgeon and a sports medicine specialist.
Trained at the prestigious KEM hospital in Mumbai, and at leading institutions in Belgium, South Africa and Australia, he has special interest in sports injuries and arthroscopy of shoulder, elbow & wrist. He is regularly consulted by athletes from all over the
country and has performed surgeries on several national and international athletes including Commonwealth and Asian games medalists. He is a founding member of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of India, and is the past Chairman of the Elbow, Wrist and Hand committee of ISAKOS.
Dr Deepak Bhatia has developed original surgical techniques for various shoulder and elbow problems and has been twice awarded the prestigious Gary G. Poehling Award for pioneering research in elbow endoscopy. He has more than 100 international publications in leading scientific journals and has lectured and performed live surgeries at national and international shoulder conferences. His new book on “Arthroscopy and Endoscopy of the elbow, wrist, and Hand” features cutting- edge techniques and is globally recognised and recommended.
